Desire Alone Will Not Work

Good things in life are desired by all. However, desire alone will not bring results. We want things yet we are not ready to pay the price for it. There is always a price; a commitment on our path. Here is my story’

I had a situation I needed someone to talk to. You know what they say a problem shared is half solved. So, I messaged a friend and said “I need to talk to you about something and get your insight” and my friend responded back with their availability. Later I discovered it was something I need to talk about not chat about and I asked my friend to call me so I can talk about it. Like for real? Is it really important to me? If so why can’t I pay the price to get what I want? Is it that I have gotten so use to handouts and hand downs? Hmmm

I learned later than desire alone will not do the magic. So now, that good thing which you have been desiring to have. What price are you are you willing to pay? What commitments are you making? I went out of my way and got units so I could call and the situation was settled. No doubt they say necessity is the mother to inventions. Step out of your wishing and desire zone and begin to pay the price for what you want outta life.

Cooperate With Life

Life needs your cooperation to bring out the best for you. What you put in is what you get out. If you keep getting angry at life, life will be angry at you. If you smile at life, it will smile at you. This is not just a cliche thing. Approach life differently and it will give you different results.

It is same with God. He is eternally Faithful and loves us yet He says,” to the good , I will show myself good, to the treacherous he shows himself treacherous”. So if promotion is what you want, try promoting someone in your life or around you. If you want a stable relationship, be stable and consistent in our relationships with everyone while doing the necessary filters.

This is not another TED talk. Try cooperating with life and share with us how things turn out….I am learning to cooperate with life

Icons leave an impression on us and after I read his last words it got me thinking on my job and life more.

I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world.

In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth…

Should be something that is more important:

Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days …

Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth.

The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me.

What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.

That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands.

What is the most expensive bed in the world? – “Sick bed” …

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – “Life”.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – “Book of Healthy Life”.

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends…

Treat yourself well. Cherish others.

3 Most Unsexy Character Traits

Life gives us opportunities to learn and grow and change and continue to change till we become the best we are designed to be. I have come to identify these 3 character traits that just makes people; no matter how beautiful or handsome they may look physically, to look so ugly and unsexy.I had being a guilty of some and still strive to be better

1. Being Rude: Impolite, cheeky, not courteous
2. Proud/Arrogant: Having or revealing an exaggerated/ excessively high sense of one’s own importance or abilities.
3. Lying/ Lies

Try being courteous and see how amazing your life will turn out

Try being humble and you will be surprised at the lifting you will experience

Try speaking the truth in love and you will be amazed at the lives you will impact and smiles you will put on people’s faces

Happy Choice

Now listen you must make a choice to be happy. Yes, happiness is yours to determine and yours to maintain. If you let people and situations beyond your control determine if you will be happy or not, you will definitely miss out on being your own person.

Being you is the best there is to be. Building your own happiness is your duty and only a happy you can make others happy. It is all in you. You have what it takes. Situations unpleasant are bound to happen. People are prune to change but the choice remains yours to grow your happiness. Take it deeper by even desiring the spirit of JOY

JOY is not situational. It comes from within and a gift and it is a spirit.

Moderation

Have you ever met a talky person? They most often than not bring life and energy into any gathering. They are like the positive energy to kill boredom. However, they land in much trouble once they do not learn when to bridle their tongues.

Most times we talk too much for our good. I am not an advocate for being secretive, however we need to use wisdom and not destroy ourselves by giving out so much information about us and our affairs that people and most so the devil can use to harm us. It is getting even easier for the devil with the social media shouts and tweets and hashtags.

This is not to say do not lead your life. Find balance and know when to let out what to and to whom and more so how to do so. Find moderation with the information you let out in whatever areas in life; business, career, marriage, relationships. Be picky with words and Think Before Talking (#TBT)
