Mentoring Privilege

Mentoring is not about people’e inadequacy. How often time we (me) forget to see that when people look up to us or consult our opinions ( rare privilege from God)it is not because they want to be like us or is it room for us to try to reproduce ourselves in them. No!

Mentoring is about letting people discover the potentials deposited in them; allowing them to draw out of their wells and not try or force to create mini inadequate versions of our yet to be perfect self.

To all mentors out there, use the opportunity well. Do not insult this PRIVILEGE!

Men Preferences

You know what they say about going to a fast food joint on a festive day right? You get to a place like Wendy’s and you hear people placing thier orders. One says “I want cheese burger” and other “beef burger” ;reason-because all through the week their meals have had chicken touch to it and  another “ vegetable burger” as they are trying to keep fit.

It resonates to me well and I related it to us ladies and our preferences in men ( just my loud mind talking)

Finisher men are more attractive than starters

Fix it men are preferred to fondling ones

Praying men are preferred to players

Listeners are preferred to garrulous men.. @Atim’s

BOAZ

Ruth had her man and he was called Boaz. My Boaz is not called Boaz but has BOAZ traits

B: – Boldly identifies me uniquely as his in this world of  many varieties and similarities

O: -Originally a smart worker & focused on His purpose and family

A: -Attractive and pays attention to my needs and that of others. Empathy is him

Z: Zealously loves God and works for God

There is a BOAZ out there for every daughter of the King. Trust His timing and trust your timing. No room for anxiety and comparisons. Stay focused and excited for yours is coming.

 

LADIES- TRUTHS TO KNOW

After my earlier post on GUYS- TRUTHS TO KNOW, so many beautiful comments and remarks came in and above all some honest criticism followed like” you are biased by leaving the guys section out”. So now ladies these are a few truth we have to know so that we do not end up cursing no one but ourselves. Men bow to Respect, Loyalty and Care.

A girl who does not fear God will hardly be his pick when he finally decides is isle time. To them it goes beyond beauty and brains. He needs to be sure that his investment won’t be reinvested in a wrong place (lol)

A ladies worth is more in her character than her appearance. Before you start quoting wrong, please look good, dress good, smell good, put the right make it but be sure to know that it goes beyond the physical. It’s not like as it’s popularly said that they look for their mama in you, no; they just need to know that you know loyalty, tenacity and will teach the kids right morals.

A lady who cannot cook, clean and handle basic domestic chaos is not even on the list of possible winners. Call it 14^th century or 21^st; the belly power stands out. No one is asking you to be “master chef” or spring cleaning expert. You won’t want to blame Delilah for taking care of the man you ought to have handled right.

A lady who is too swallowed up in “miss independent” disqualifies herself. It is good to work and be able to handle stuffs but men are providers. No man rich or poor, fat or slim, tall or short will let the part of his ego be trample because you are a career woman and financially viable. Everything has its place. Men Pursue, Provide and Protect. Take this away from them and you will not be the one; can never I beg to say.

A lady who doesn’t know how to pamper her man, well you know what they say; all men are big babies. Like us they need affection. They need some tender loving. I didn’t say you should start doing to bfs what is done to husbands but in all pampering has its place in all. Do not be all “Margret Tachery” and needy like they too do not have needs. No man likes to be nagged at.

A lady who cannot comprehend that men love their mothers and will somewhat want a piece of that in their wife doesn’t imply that they need you bossing down their throats and acting all control freak. Let them have their space and they will make adequate room for you J

Men are not only after beauty but brains. A lazy woman who thinks a man should be her sponsor is in for a loss. Ladies get working. Do not see him as a solely a provider and you the eater be a contributor.

It’s not compatibility but suitability.

Don’t Choke On It

We all get the rough patches in life and too we walk in the blissful ones. So why beat yourself so bad for the wrong decisions you made. I am a strong believer in love and the many things that I love and believe in (food, cloths, music). I know it hurts when you believe in something/ someone and it lets you down. You often feel like you didn’t just make a mistake but you are a mistake.

You stay down choking on your mistakes. You have to forgive yourself. I have had my share of mistakes and honesty there was nothing to write home about. Knowledge dropped that my hurt will heal when I first forgive myself and know that I am human; I make mistakes but I can be better and work towards perfection.

I Don’t Want Your House

I’m not sure if I understand why some things are the way they are or seem but for sure some things are just out of place

Everyone wants to have their own things and be their own bosses that is so fine, me too i want that. Now you get my point , I understand this but for Ladies especially to just want to get married because it’s the necessary thing, to be in a big house and have your own living room? I think it’s pretty shallow.

No don’t get me wrong I love fine houses, nothing is wrong in having a great house but a great home should be what we go after. I’m tired of being in houses; the best you can give people is a home, that serene place, filled with love, joy, laughter, peace, God. A place where even after a tiring day, once foot is step in it feels like work never existed.

People build houses and we make a home. So ladies, do not just strive to get into a man’s house. Work at giving him and your family a home.

A Moms Love

You might not have grown knowing what that felt but you knew what it meant

A love so absent yet so present and real

A love that cooks and improvises

A love that comforts and teaches even in the most unlikely manners

A love that suit and sorts out our  emotions

A love that is pass defining

A love that magnifies in individual lives uniquely

Angry At Men, Mad at Women

I am angry at men for the lies they tell and mad at women for believing all of it

I am angry at men for thinking that being the head means they have the brains and mad at women for letting the head overplay the heart. There is truly no head without a heart.

I am angry at men who are threaten by a woman’s success and mad at women who let this insecurities curb their potentials

I am angry at men who treat women like trash and mad at women who do not know their worth

I am angry at men who think is okay to keep late nights (family) and mad at women who stay up all night to wait for them giving them more room.

I am angry at men who call every women they meet “baby, sweet etc’’ and mad at women who smile to it; I mean does he even know your name (flirting side)

At the end I smile because if there is no woman, there is no man and hence no world. Women know your worth, be virtuous, submissive yet wise.
