I Don’t Want To Change My Faith

faith in Christ

If you are a Christian  (BORN AGAIN) from my part of the world then you probably have heard this statement more than once in your life time” i don’t want to change my faith”. it has become so common that you find yourself ignorantly trying to justify the good you are trying to do ( this is especially common when you go out for evangelism or when encouraging a friend to follow you to church to hear God’s word with you etc ). you even meet a man that wants to marry you and he tells you that you have to change your faith to be his wife ( he actually means church). Faith is not a church people. Faith is not a location. We Christians have to work on our grammar? it sounds like believing in Jesus Christ equals change of cloths from a closet full

It gets you wondering if you both are Christians or some parts of the bible are just out of place. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, Eph 4:5. You begin to wonder ;was i asking you to stop believing in Jesus Christ? Our faith is stayed on Him. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. So what faith don’t you want to change?

YOUR PERFECT MAN FOR ME

The Perfect man

Your opinion of my prefect man is perfect. I appreciate your love because in your eyes I see he is perfect. The right height, appropriate age, prefect skin colour, fine eyes, glittering teeth and those drop dead abs with the right number of veins on his muscular skin, being able to lift me up to touch the moon and put me in a sweet dream(#put me to bed).

So I got to thinking;

Did you check if he has the right heart and loves the Most High?

Did you check just his skin or the scares that are born out of unconditional sacrifices?

Are his eyes just fine or do you think he will fill me life with fun and laughter and make me smile out my white teeth?

Is he just aged or mature?

Is it just the veins or you’re sure he will value me and bring out the best in me?

Is it just about lifting my body what happens to my Spirit?

Will i just have sweet dreams or be in the sweet place at the end of life?

Your answer will make me look into your opinion for me.

Forceful Giving

giving.jpgToday is Sunday and as a part of every service or mass, giving offerings of thanksgiving is a part of the worship time. This post however is not on giving but on our attitude towards it and most often lame remarks (no hard feelings….just my opinion)

I personally dislike how some persons often sound as though God is forcing them to give to Him. What can you really give to God that can match His givings in your life and family. The point is this; we cannot out give God. And if you do not see the need to give don’t okay rather hide behind the notion that pastors are using it to wear fine clothes and drive amazing cars and live in wow houses.

“Marriage is not for me”

Marriage is not for me

I was watching this interesting interview on “marriage is not for me” by “our “icons Shonda Rhimes and Oprah Winfrey. You know there is just something about information and especially from people we look up to, or are celebrities. Personally I think some of the most twisted ideas are from the so say icons and the truth is behind closed doors the reality of their global speeches holds on to them.

The truth is everyone is entitled to your opinion. I just do not understand how you will want your life to be everyone’s life. You can have kids with a man but a man will take up your time? How twisted is that? Well that is not the essence of this post today.

Marriage is for me (1 Cor 7:2b). Do you want to know why?

  • It is a gift from my creator (1Cor 7:7)
  • It is honourable (Heb 13:4)
  • It should not be forbidden ( 1Tim 4:3)
  • It is responsibility ( 1 Cor 7:33)
  • It is not a sin ( 1 Cor 7:28)

Do not fear what they fear or speak what they speak. Have a mind of your own and not generalities. There is a man or wan out there for you as husband or wife but still if you are not “CALLED “to be married it is still great. God does not speak English, He uses ENGLISH. To be continued ….

How To Get The Name That Stands Out

Jesus Christ is our perfect example of a name that stands out. There are things that we can do which will cause Christ to be exalted in our lives and thereby making our names stand out.

  1.  Having love one for another and not doing things for vain glory
  2. Acting in humility; considering others better than  ourselves
  3. Showing concern for the things of others( not praying only for ourselves but others too)
  4. Above all having the mind of God ( Focusing on making his Kingdom come by reaching out to the lost)

He wills we work and do His good pleasures. He is a rewarder so lets get to work.

Private Jets

The earth is the Lords and the Fullness thereof!

I’m not taking sides but it is just all over the place you know. I was following up on my tweets this morning and one of them  said” If Jesus was here today in this era I do not think He will be using private Jets like this is that?” Now who made us judge ? The same measure we mete out we will be measured to us ( Matt 7:2).

The works I did, Greater you will do ( my edition)

Jesus walked walked across water bodies and His disciples flipped and termed Him “Ghost”( Matt 14:26). Now if  Men of God start walking across the Atlantic( #justsaying) to preach I wonder how many will sit to hear such a message.Philip disappeared and appeared to preach to the Ethiopian Eunuch (Marvel)- greater works

Jesus used a Yatch to move Him and the disciples across to preach (Mark 4 :35-40), How wrong is the private Jet which we so despise and can’t bet we know how it was purchased? #Faith. So “Con” men can use them but not Kings and Queens representing the city paved with Gold?

Jesus raised the dead and too our present day men of God do, why no contradictions on the “good”. I hear the justification is the reaching out to the poor? In our own little corner how many have we reached out to? How we say for surty they aint doing so?

Should it be said to the people of Jacob,
“Has the Spirit of Eternal lost His patience with us?
Is this how He works?”

Eternal One: When I speak, don’t good things happen
to the ones who uprightly follow My fair path? (Mich 2:7)

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the Lord straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? (Micah 2:7)

God can not be boxed!

7 Things That Tick God Off

We were created to show off His praise. Are we doing that? It is amazing to be at peace with someone we love so let us check God’s list and make some adjustments for our good.(Prov 6:16-19)

There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things he detests:

*Eyes that are arrogant (eyes that look down on others; haughty eyes)

*A tongue that lies (Lying tongue)

*Hands that murder (shed, kill) the innocent,

*A heart that hatches (conceives) evil plots,

*Feet that race down a wicked track (to do wrong),

*A mouth that lies under oath (a false witness that breathes lies),

*A troublemaker in the family (a person who sows discord in a family)

Prayer: Father empower us to lead a life that gives you Glory. Amen.

One Day At A Time

I’m only human, I’m just a woman.
Help me believe in what I could be
And all that I am.

Some days just feel heavy when actually it is a day to rejoice and be glad. If you remember this song, join me sing or complete it. “Old school hymns have a way to relate to us directly.

Show me the stairway, I have to climb.
Lord for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

Chorus:
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That’s all I’m asking from you.
Just give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do.
Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus……………………………
