WALK WITH THE WISE

Proverbs 13:20 – He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Walk with wise men. Surround yourself with wise counselors. Surround yourself with those who pattern themselves after the Word of God. Your counsel is critical for your next level. As you surrender every area of your heart and life over to Christ, the company you keep is critical for your spiritual development, growth and success.

Wisdom will unlock doors and wise counselors will direct your path. The quality of your counsel is important. Submit to the advice, patterns and principles of Godly advisors, mentors and counselors. Submit to wise, mature and seasoned counselors.

Learn from those who have gone before you. Learn from their mistakes. Learn from their failures. Learn from their losses. Learn from their successes. Learn how they handled success. Learn how they mitigated risk. Learn and submit to their wise counsel. Your counselors are critical to building out your life’s framework.

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.” (Proverbs‬ ‭13:20‬). Walk with the wise and you’ll become wise. Walk with the wise and you’ll have success. Pattern yourself after their ways. Let God send you wise and Godly Counselors after His Heart.

Submit to mature and Godly Instruction. Submit to God’s Instruction. Obey God. Obey His Counsel. Pattern yourself after God’s Ways. Pattern yourself after the ways of the Godly. The seasoned Counsel of the wise is critical to your success.

– Do you have a mentor or a counselor? If yes, what phrase best describes him/her?
– Who is/are your role model(s) and how are they impacting your life?
– Is your company of friends wise? How often do you take counsel from them?
